The pupusas here are really good. Service was great too! Will definitely be coming back.

Large proportions, DELICIOUS, seasoned food. Affordable prices. Good service. There's plenty of seating and is suitable for large groups to dine in. They also offer takeout. Parking is limited and fill up quickly. Also support a small business and bring cash ;) FOOD: Papusa Revuelta (4.5/5): The chicharrón was shredded small and evenly applied throughout. The ratio was about 1:1 chicharrón to cheese. The flavor, ahhhh the flavor was soooo good. Personally, I would have preferred my papusa to be toasted and filled more. As another reviewer mentioned, the papusas don't taste as good when it sits, so eat then while they're hot. I can't comment on the curtido bc I don't like curtido. Almost all the papusas were $2.50 each. Sopa de Mariscos con Crema (5/5): This soup has bluecrab, fish, imitation crab, shrimp, mussels and vegetables. We got it with cream & the crushed red pepper on the side. I was expecting small chunks of fish and a crab claw. Nah, y'all getting a whole experience! There was a whole filet of fish, lots of shrimp, and half of a bluecrab. This soup was so good and filling! Filete Pescado con Camarones (5/5): The breading on the shrimp and fish was well seasoned. The shoe string fries were fresh and crunchy. I've never had Salvadoran rice but I prefer it over the regular Spanish - it's lighter and fluffy.

They seem to have taken over new owners but the food is still delicious they do need to work on answering their phones. I always order ahead.

Absolutely delicious authentic (and Americanized if that's you're palette) Salvadorian food. Prices are excellent and you get a lot of food on the plate. Waitress was incredibly sweet. You know the place is going to be good when you're greeted in Spanish, and upon seeing the bewilderment in our eyes, she switched to flawless English and plenty of patience. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Only problem, it's so far from Spring!

The best food in town !!! The service is great, they will always welcome you with a smile on their faces. Great for an early Sunday cafecito con pan wish I could bring the restaurant with me all the way to New Jersey :(

Overall, this is a good pupuseria! The service was good, the pupusas were solid, the prices were reasonable and the agua fresca was delicious! I only had two minor complaints about the entire experience. First, the chicken and cheese pupusa I got had very little chicken. I am used to shredded chicken applied evenly, whereas these were larger chunks spread out. The taste was still great, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The other thing is very minor and only applies if you are planning to order a bunch for later. I have had some great pupusas that tasted just as good cold as they did hot, but these don't keep. Not a big deal, just don't over order or let them sit too long. The texture is unpleasant when that happens. This was our first visit to this location. We were headed into Houston and already hungry. We stopped in here because it was convenient off 249 and not far from our destination. We were placing a to go order for nine pupusas to bring to some family members. It took a few minutes to be noticed and helped, but kudos to the girl who helped us. She clearly didn't notice us, because she was startled to see us and very apologetic. She then gave us a menu to look through and gave us a run down of a few items. She was very helpful. The prices are great in my opinion and match up to the portion. The queso pupusas are $1.99 each and the others we got with meat were $2.50. We ordered three each of beef, chicken and queso. We then added on some drinks when we were told the wait time was 20 minutes. My husband got a Tamarind Jarrito and I got a cantaloupe agua fresca. The total with tax was $26.65. The wait time didn't bother me as this place has 18 tables of various sizes and they were more than half full. The entire staff was hustling and they were kept very busy with all the tables and other to go orders. I think they did a solid job. They offered quite the variety of agua fresca's and I was thrilled to taste these were freshly made in house! The cantaloupe was delicious and there was plenty of the fruit right in the cup!! I really recommend this, or any of their other flavors. It was naturally sweet and refreshing. The food was made by the same person who took our order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. It smelled amazing! The pupusas were a hit with the family. Their cheese was very savory and had depths of flavor- it really hit the spot! There are a few items to note. Parking out front fills up quick! Luckily there is more parking in the back, so check that out before you decide to go elsewhere. They seem to accept most forms of payment, but not checks or American Express. They also have a case where they sell pastries! I was really satisfied with this experience overall and I'm glad we stopped in. I definitely wouldn't mind checking out more of their offerings the next time we are in town.

Rosa's Pupuseria is a hidden gem off of Highway 249! These pupusas are from the traditional Salvadorean dish of a thick corn tortilla stuffed with a savory filling. It is typically accompanied by curtido (a spicy cabbage slaw), and tomato salsa. We decided to order chicken, cheese and 2 Chicharron pupusa in which we were delighted to taste this very seasoned cabbage slaw and pupusas! We are from California and are excited to try more from this restaurant. Don't forget to try the very spicy and flavorful green salsa (you will need a lot of water). The only reason this place did not get 5 stars is because the chicharron pupusas has chunks of pork which we are not used to this as we were expecting a crunchy pork filling. Overall, this will definitely be a spot that I will frequent when I'm visiting Texas!
